In the summer of 2026, the city of Valencia, Spain, will take flight – hosting the 12th edition of the Gay Games from June 27th to July 4th, 2026. For all gay men who love sports, travel, and community, this event offers the perfect combination: competition, a festival atmosphere, and a city brimming with joie de vivre and diversity. At Pink Alpine, we’ll show you why you should be there – and how to plan your experience to the fullest.
The Gay Games were founded with the goal of combining sport, inclusion, and diversity. Unlike traditional competitions, the focus here is on everyone participating – regardless of gender, origin, sexual orientation, or ability level. Participating means participating, experiencing, and celebrating.
Valencia boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year, Mediterranean flair, coastal life, and urban life. This choice was not a coincidence: the city offers an excellent sports and event infrastructure, a welcoming environment, and a vibrant LGBTQ+ community. For our target group – gay men with a passion for travel – this means: beach by day, nightlife by night, and sports by morning.
More than 30 disciplines will compete, including marathons/half marathons, 5k/10k, swimming, beach volleyball, rugby, and traditional Valencian sports such as Pilota Valenciana and Colpbol. Participation isn’t just a competition, it’s an experience. The cultural and party program will run concurrently: an opening and closing ceremony with shows, music, and entertainment. The Festival Village will be the meeting point for all participants. Registration is already open online .
For you – ambitious athletes, curious about the world, the community, and the scene – this event is ideal. You combine sports and lifestyle, experience a large LGBTQ+ tourist scene, and travel together. Pink Alpine can support you in traveling as a group, choosing suitable accommodation, combining excursions, and being part of the global LGBTQ+ sports event.
The Gay Games 2026 in Valencia offer you the complete package: sports, travel, community, and the LGBTQ+ scene. If you’d like to join a group with like-minded people, get in touch – we at Pink Alpine will help you with travel arrangements, accommodation, and event participation. Be there. Be vibrant.
